Old friends

Our friends Alli and Spencer, and children, came to visit from Minnesota and stayed here Thursday and Friday.  They headed to a wedding on Saturday and we all (south bay group) met up at Natalie and Matt's house tonight.  It was sooooo good to see them and see our kids play together.  Their son Sevi is almost 5 and Leo just turned 2.  Such good kids!

Jeremy's new thing is the "bunny ears".  Although, he tells me it's the peace sign not ears.  Thank you little league teammates for teaching him this new thing.

Camera phone pics from here down so the quality isn't great.  We brought Jeremy's kite, a birthday present, to the beach and Spencer taught the kids how to fly it.

Jeremy and Sevi played really well together.  Wish they lived closer!

Pizza at Nat and Matt's!

Amelia LOVED her assignment to hold sweet Jolie!

Dodger Game

It was Little League day at Dodger Stadium which means that the players get to walk around the field.  Jeremy's second Dodger game but he was just a tiny baby for the 1st one!  I think he had a blast!!

Ryan and J are right behind the dad in blue waving.  Ryan is waving as well but you can't tell.

Matthew is J's new little buddy and Beth, his mommy, is awesome too.  A new friend in Westchester!!!! Yeah! Terrible picture of us but oh well.

J and Matthew

Jeremy wasn't cooperating so it was forced but I never get pictures with my kids so he had to deal.

Another picture Jeremy didn't want to take.

Last game of the season

This season has been SO much fun!  We've met people we will stay friends with for a long time, we've watched you learn, we've cheered for you, laughed at you (the way you don't touch the base if someone is standing on it) and we've LOVED every minute of it.  Here are a couple of the sweet faces of our ballplayer that I'll miss...

The team

Jbird and his buddy Matthew at dinner after the game!

Did I mention that we went undefeated?  Oh, then let me tell you that we went undefeated!

Quality time

It's rare that a day ends and I feel like each kiddo has gotten really special quality time.  We get 1 on 1 time, but uninterrupted, REALLY good time is hard to come by.

We got some today!  After the usual spin class...
The kids in the day care.  You can see in from the 2nd floor and every time we go they wait for me to walk up the stairs and wave.

...trip to the park and a short babysitting stint (William and Emily played over while Louise took care of some school stuff), the girls napped and Jeremy and I sat on my bed and colored and worked on his Puzzle Buzz for almost 2 hours.  Puzzle Buzz is the best present he's ever received.  It's a monthly coloring book with mazes, "i spy" kind of things, puzzles, color by number, etc.  He was just darling and we had the funniest conversations!

Mabel woke up before Amelia so we cuddled on the couch for almost 45 minutes.  I LOVED every minute of it.
Miss Mabel has been adding lots of words to her vocabulary.  Recent additions are book, again, banana, Oma (mo-ma), poo poo, pee pee and a version of good dog!

Amelia was sitting alone in her room while J and M played outside and I just sat with Amelia and we talked about when she was going to give up her "wa-wi".  That is her pacifier!  She told me she would give it up when she turns 4 and she wants to give it to a baby boy.  Here is a picture of Amelia during the class we take together.  Such a good little student...
My little peanut is waiting for her turn to give her teacher the picture she's holding.

Love you kiddos!!!!

Happy Mother's Day

What a great day!!!!!  I got to sleep in (after a late night out to dinner with friends), the kids, except Mabel who slept until 8, and Ryan woke me up with yummy cinnamon rolls.  Breakfast in bed and an iced coffee delivered bedside!  I mean, it could only get better from there.  We hung out and ate in bed, opened presents and then mommy went on a run and manicure/pedicure with Louise.  We spent the afternoon at home and then I went out to dinner with MY MOM and brother.  It's nice to have time with them without all the kids and chaos (even spouses)!  Thank you Ryan, Jeremy, Amelia and Mabel for a wonderful day.  I love you.

Muffin Girl

Muffin girl? Ryan and I can't remember when it started but it's pretty funny to watch.  Jeremy and Amelia will ask Mabel if she wants to be the "muffin girl".  That means she puts on the oven mitt and chases them from her room to their room and back.  They all love it!!
Ready to go!!!! Isn't she intimidating?

BUT... in the end, they worship each other!!!

The muffin girl can be sweet too!  She loves her doll and even looks like her!

Munchkin

Mabel booked her 1st job as a model!  Sounds silly and at times today, felt silly.  She had an audition last week for packaging print ad for the Munchkin brand.  She got the job and reported this morning to the photo shoot.
A little dark but it was my phone camera and I didn't want to look like a rookie :)

She met her new "mom" (a skinny, curly blonde hair, blue eyed version) and even got a new dog...packaging for baby gates (you know, the typical picture of a mom and baby on one side of the gate and a sad dog on the other side)!  She LOVED the dogs and loved the "baby wrangler", the really fun guy who keeps the babies entertained.  There is a holding room that looks like this...
Thankfully we were the 1st there so we had the room to ourselves most of the time. This craziness started after we were done shooting but waiting in case they had any last minuted shots they missed.

We waited in here until they were ready for us and then she went with the "wrangler" and he showed her around set and handed her to her "mom".  She looked a little confused as to who all these people were but did a GREAT job.  I tried to stay out of sight because I wasn't sure how she would react.  Mabel and her new mom Cody.

They changed positions from standing like this to playing on the ground to Mabel standing at the gate looking at her dog.  The photographer said "the camera loves her.  She's very photogenic."  The pictures would pop up on this computer and I have to say that I thought she looked really cute! :)

We're not sure what packaging, where you would find it, etc she will end up on but it was a FUN experience and she had fun too.  I think...
Looks like it to me.

My attempt at a family picture!

Since I didn't get a picture of the kids on Easter, I thought I would try today.  No luck...this is the best I could do!
