Wheeler Farm

This farm is near Jacqui's house and the kids had a good time! I think they liked playing in the river best!

Our little piggies looking at the pigs!

We stopped to throw some rocks in the river. Amelia was fearless...walked right into the water and would have gone into the deep part had I not been there to grab her arm! Crazy girl!

We bought some food to feed the ducks. Jeremy enjoyed it and Amelia actually grabbed handfuls of food and threw them to the ducks. Jett, on the other hand, thought he should eat the duck food!

I want to ride the pony like my big brother! He's so far away!

Feeding Time

Courtney left for a girls weekend so I had Cece and Teddy for the afternoon. We headed to Auntie Jacqui's for some serious playtime! Anyway, when it came time for dinner....who needs highchairs or tables?!?!? We don't!

Some pictures from my phone

Bug time at the park. The cousins found a potato bug and loved watching it crawl around. Notice who is front and center...Amelia!!! She loves bugs! From left to right; Teddy, Amelia, Jett, Cece and Jeremy!

Playing in the sand!

So it looks like loving siblings running together at the park but it was a hunter/prey situation. Jeremy saw Amelia walking in the grass and yelled, "get Amelia". He chased her down and she turned to run from him. This is what I caught on camera....two children running happily in the park! :) Yeah right!

Fruitaholics: Fruit = Happy Kids

Jeremy's new thing is whole peaches first thing in the morning.  It's now usually the first thing he wants/asks for.  He will eat the whole thing and then have a bowl of cereal or whatever breakfast is.  Amelia is just like her brother and loves any type of fruit!  Especially strawberries!!!!!

Rice Krispy Treats

Jeremy and I made rice krispy treats today and he liked eating them more than making them.  Surprise surprise.  He put all sorts of sprinkles on them (picture of him with his tongue out) and ate a few after dinner.

THANK GOD!

He's finally peeing standing up!  There was nothing more annoying then having to take off shoes, socks, shorts and underwear JUST to pee (especially in public restrooms...ugh).  He had to sit so far back on the toilet to point downwards that all those clothes and shoes didn't allow him to spread 'em.  Anyway, we're moving in the right direction!!!!  :)  Sorry for the details but I am one happy mom!

Amelia on play structure

She loved playing in the sand!

Amelia for lunch.  Notice that J is staying a little further back.

Feeding the ducks.  Jeremy loved the ducks and kept trying to feed the baby duck.  He was yelling, "come here baby duck.  Here is the bread"!

Pretty white ducks!

The Family Reunion (Family Tree or Family Forest)

We went to the Reinkemeyer Family Reunion today and it's a little crazy! There are 188 family members (according to Uncle Dick's count of the family tree)! Ryan and I tried to explain to Jeremy that everyone here was a cousin or aunt or uncle. I think it will take him a few years to get it but we sure get it. Here is a video of the family tree that Ryan put together (megan did the artwork part) and it's HUGE. Mary said we should call it the Family Forest. Ryan spent over 40 hours collecting pictures and information and even though it was too much money to print it in color ($500), it looked really cool. Every sibling (Mary and all siblings) had a designated color which we outlined with markers on the banner and anyone related to them, had a name tag with that corresponding color. On the tag, it said who you belonged to...my tag read, "Mary's Family: Skylar Meinhardt". It was nice to know who belonged to who and pictures on the Family Tree to go with names. I know it helped me remember names! We enjoyed lots of yummy food and the kids had a great time playing inside and in the heat outside. I don't think I've ever seen Jeremy's face so red. The video also shows you just how many people there were!

Jefferson City Capitol

We took the kids to the Capitol building today and they had a fun time. It was so hot, I'm sure they wanted to jump in the fountain. A cute video below and here are some pictures. After the capitol, we went to Ryan's aunt and uncle (Dedie, Mary's sister, and Dick's house) for dinner and swimming. Mary and Dedie took the kids to the basement playroom and did the annual height measuring. There is a blank wall where Zach, Beck, Jeremy, Luke, Nellie and Amelia are marked. It's fun to see how much they've grown. Needless to say, Jeremy did NOT want to leave. We're heading back in the morning to take the boys (Jeremy and cousin Zach) golfing. I'm sure I will have pics and video!

Excited in the Capitol!

The Capitol has a museum sort of feel with a history of the state and the people. We enjoy going every year because I can't read everything in one year so maybe after 5 years, I will have read it all! Here are the kids looking at a display with animals (not alive)! Amelia LOVES it because she thinks they're real!

Boat Video

Lake of the Ozarks

We took the kids to the lake today for some boating fun. The best part about this lake is that it took us no more then 45 minutes to get door to door. What can I say, J LOVED it! Every minute of it! He really liked driving with his dad! Amelia slept most of the time in my arms but liked it when she was awake. Well, she hated when the water would splash up on us but I kept her covered most of the time so she wouldn't get too wet. Here are a few pics!

Time in the country! :) Or Jefferson City

Here are a couple pics of the kids and Ryan looking at crickets after we went out to dinner. Amelia loves bugs! She has no fear and tries to touch all of them, dead or alive and moving!

Plane Ride

Forgot to post a pic from our plane ride! This was after Ryan finally got Amelia to sleep after 1 1/2 hours of restlesness! Thank you dadda! Jeremy is watching a movie and I, for the first time since having children, am doing NOTHING!

4 Wheeler

Rolling into the lake

They did this forever! Pretty funny!

On the farm in Jefferson City - Happy Birthday Ryan

Unlce Dick and Aunt Dede have a house on a river 30 minutes outside Jeff City! We took the kids there on Sunday for Ryan's birthday! Ryan's cousin Brandy was there with her husband and kids and we had lots of fun. They have a mile of riverfront property, 3oo acres in total. SO nice. The boys rode 4 wheelers (I was told after the fact that Ryan took Jbird and they were going 34 mph at one point). We played in the river, looked for fish, Ryan floated with J (video to come) and everyone else drank lots of beer. We thought of Uncle Christian ALL day and how much he would love this place.

Cousin Luke, Jeremy and Cousin Zac

The dirt driveway is top right of photo. 2 miles on a gravel road before you hit the driveway.

Family shot at the end of the day so we look a bit dirty!
