Amelia's date with Opa

Amelia woke up on Saturday and told me she didn't want to go to lunch with Opa but she would like to go to a movie.  That worked out perfectly since she doesn't really eat anyway :)  So off they went to see Frozen.  A big bag of Skittles and a bag of popcorn later, a very happy girl returned home.
Thank you Opa!!!!

Amelia and her big accomplishment

While Mabel was on her date with Opa, Beth and I took Matthew, Jeremy and Amelia swimming at the Y since Amelia has been asking since her last tube fell out to go so she could go under water.  This is coming from a girl who was so dramatic, she refused to put ear plugs in since she was 8 months old.  She not only went under water finally but actually started swimming.  Thanks to Beth and her patience.

Mabel's Date with Opa

I told Opa that Mabel was sad that she didn't get to go to the Rose Parade with him so he promised her a date.  He picked her up yesterday and off they went to lunch at the Warehouse.  Super cute.  It's Amelia's turn today.

Keeping busy....

Grandmommy left on December 30 so we've been keeping busy at parks, scooters jungle, running, playing and relaxing before school starts back up.
Mabel and I having fun at the park with rice cakes

My running buddy.  He rides, I run!

I took the kids and friends to Scooters Jungle for some playtime on New Years Eve.

Opa asked to take Jbird and Matthew to the Rose Parade so they were up by 6:30 and out the door.  They had a blast!

Every once in awhile we attempt a sibling sleepover and it has yet to work.  This is how everyone started at 7pm...

By 8 pm, Jbird took himself off to his bed because the girls were "talking too much".  I told the girls mommy would join them on the floor but by 8:30, Amelia wanted to go back to her bed.  So, all fell asleep and mommy joined Mabel on the floor for a mommy daughter sleepover.  Oh well, we will try again in a few months :)
