Halloween 2012 - Captain Hook and his princess'

When we first asked the kids what they wanted to be Jeremy said a Ninja and the girls immediately said princess'.  Jeremy then said, "I want to be a pirate and protect the princess'" and the rest is history.  Another super fun Halloween treating up and down our block (44 houses in total) and we only had one mishap.  Mabel was running across a lawn and tripped on an electrical cord and scratched her face up pretty good.  She was bleeding and crying but pulled it together to finish the second 1/2 of the block.
Our neighbors (not the George's) invited all the kids on the block over for some pinata fun and AMAZING food.

Here is a collage of the "pre" treating fun!  The middle picture is classic.  Amelia doesn't like the noise and Mabes looks bored.  Neither wanted to hit it.  Typical of our kids.

Jbird broke it open!

Johnny's Halloween Parade 2012

It was the first time I didn't have a child in tow since both girls are now IN the parade.  The girls wanted to be princess' for Halloween so their wishes were granted!  They usually go to school on Wednesday but the teacher asked if they wanted to come 2 days in a row and Trick or Treat twice.  Um, yes they do!!!!!!  Mommy snuck in some studying.  Anyway, Mabel did really well for her first "performance".  However, the teacher who got them ready has 3 boys so their t-shirts were left on and they looked a little homeless but they were still pretty cute!!!!

Amelia as "Belle"

Mabel as a "pink princess"

I did a quick fix on Mabel so she looks a little better.  I found these cute wands but they were kind of big.  So I cut the top off (the girl's crowns) and the lower part is their light up wand.

Oh, and then Mabel decided to undress because she was "itchy".  Halloween should be interesting.  Here she is making sure she's not the latest tabloid picture showing her privates.  Classic!

I'm out!

Scoring machine (well, 3 goals in two games)

This kid has been a scoring machine.  Here he is scoring his 2nd goal of this game!

Typical

A friend took this picture at the pumpkin patch and I think it's very accurate!

Shawn's Pumpkin Patch

We made our yearly visit to the pumpkin patch and it was the most fun we've ever had there!  Well, until the drive home but I consider that a successful outing.  It didn't feel very fall-like because it was 80 degrees but the clouds provided some shade so it was really nice.  We also met up with a friend who snuck a "mom's club" deal even though we're not in the mom's club.  $7 per kid to get a ticket to bounce house, play area, train ride, petting zoo and $8 worth of pumpkins.

hmmm...which one should I pick?

We ran into some friends and it was like a Johnny's preschool reunion.  Past, current and future classmates!

So I convinced the kids to pool their $8 each worth of pumpkins and here is what we picked.  Jeremy felt it needed to get buckled up since it is big enough to be the new member of our family.

If anyone wants to send us a big box of fall leaves, we'll take it.  I saw it on a blog I read and I thought it would be fun for the kids to open it, play in it and take some fun pics!  Anyone? :)

Beautiful Day!

Sanja is here!

HOLY MOLY!!!!  Life has been busy!  Since my update, nothing really new has happened EXCEPT Sanja arrived but with soccer, school, my classes, Indian guides, baseball and Halloween, we've been on the go!  She's from the Frankfurt area and she was supposed to come this summer to help keep Jeremy's german up but she had to take some tests so she came on September 24.  And we LOVE her!  We've also had Jacqui, Jett and Benny in town for a week so it's been beach time, sleepovers and craziness.  Oh, did I mention I had 2 midterms among all this!!! Did I say it's been busy?

3 beach days in a row!  Auntie Jacqui took the kids all 3 days and I only went once so I could study!!! Sanja went 2 of the 3 days.

We went to Nick's game vs the Galaxy and took Jbird with us.

One of the beach days, these two were left with Sanja and I.  We gave Sanja a tour of the Palisades, including Palisades Elementary School.  I made Mabel and Benny stand on the very steps Jacqui and I did on our 1st day of Kindergarten.  I will dig up the picture!

Could they be any cuter?

Today we showed Sanja what Michaels Art store was all about!!!!!  We had fun!!!!!
