We took the kids camping with our friends Beth, Guy and their son Matthew, who plays baseball with J. They also go to the same school but Matthew is a grade above J. We had a blast. It took us about 5 hours to get there on Friday and we enjoyed good food, GREAT friends, 10 hours of boating on Saturday, lots of swimming and a lot of time on the tube!
Matthew and Jeremy were in heaven in the water! I don't think they got out much, except to fish and eat.
The mommies got some good QT, especially when we hung out on the tube drinking beers while the husbands took care of the kids on the boat. It was paradise!

Mommy loved it when the girls fell asleep and I enjoyed a beautiful boat ride and a cold beer :)

The girls on the dock. They had a blast. They played cute games in the water and were filthy by the end of the day. We avoided any major meltdowns except one during the car ride home. 1 hour straight of a fit from Amelia and I truly didn't know if I was going to survive. Brutal.
The camp site was typical of California camping....dusty. You can't see it in these pictures but they are SO dirty. Beth and I are secretly hoping Mabel marries Matthew because he is such a sweet boy. There is a connection between these two that is heart warming.
Well, summer is 2 days from over :( We've tried on uniforms today, going for a haircut later and we are enjoying our last couple slow mornings. 1st grade here we come!!!
