I love my new puzzles
Jbird took his new puzzle to bed and well, as you can see, he didn't have time to finish all four of them. :) Thank you again Oma!

Music Class
Jeremy started a music class a couple weeks ago and LOVES it! He came out after the first class and said, "mom, I had so much fun"! Since he volunteered that information, I signed him up and he is still loving it. "No parent involvement" which is even better. Anyway, there is a window you can peek through so I check in every once in awhile to see what he's doing and if he's listening. He always is so at least I know our money is going to a good thing. Today at class the teacher told them to get out their portable desks and color whatever they want/feel when the music starts. Here he is coloring and a picture of his artwork...

I have nothing to name this except..."Amelia Bedelia"
Amelia really loves her crib and throwing her blankets and ALL 100 pacifiers out of the crib as well! She then yells, "uh oh, momma, wawa (J's word for pacifier that has now been adopted by Amelia)". It can literally change her mood from grumpy to a very happy girl in minutes. Here she is in action right before her nap. If you look closely, you can FINALLY see her two front top teeth coming in.

Crying Amelia
So we always post good, funny, cute things so I thought I would share that with miss Amelia, there are plenty of not so good, funny, cute things like this. She HATES the car. She always has but lately, it's gotten a little worse. Drives me CRAZY! Here she is on our way to Santa Monica Promenade for a mommy/daughter shopping morning and lunch out with jess and piper!

Jeremy takes his talent to a whole new level....
Jeremy has taken to writing the letter "J" on everything. Sometimes it's backwards and sometimes it's upside down but it's still the letter "J". He took it to a whole new level today and peed it in the grass. Ryan and I were talking with our neighbors and he came around the car with his pants around his ankles and said, "I peed the letter J in the grass". Classic!!!!

Dentist Appt for Jbird
Jeremy had a dentist appt today and it was the first time for Xrays and teeth cleaning. He did AWESOME! Not one tear and he did everything the dentist asked! The xrays were first and the side teeth took a couple extra minutes because his mouth isn't very big and he was having a hard time keeping that paper thing in his mouth. I am surprised he didn't get annoyed at this because I know how it is uncomfortable for an adult let alone a kid. Anyway, after that was done it was time for cleaning his teeth. The dental asst asked him if he wanted bubble gum, blueberry, chocolate or watermelon. He told her he didn't like chocolate and then chose blueberry. He sat still and watched Go Diego Go the whole time she was cleaning and flossing. Dr. Deepa was next and he got a clean bill of teeth. No cavities. She showed me his xrays and it's crazy how you can see the whole next set of teeth waiting to come in. He is getting his last molar in and then losing teeth is next. Yikes! He has to go back in 6 months and Amelia will go when she turns 2! I'm sure that will be dramatic :)

Jeremy's Swim Lessons
Can you tell he it getting more comfortable?!?! He was floating all on his own. He is swimming so well. We have 2 more lessons and then we will take the year off and start back up next summer. I asked Mark is Jeremy would be swimming soon if we continued lessons and he said that he is still TOO young to fully understand his body and how to make it swim. With that being said, we will take some time off from lessons. :( I know J will be sad but I think he will also like doing other things on Friday morning!!!!

Amelia's 1st Day at Emerson
Amelia started the school program that Jeremy did when he was Amelia's age! Teacher Kathy is still the teacher and we did all the fun, same things we did with Jbird! It was so neat to see Amelia on her own like a big girl. It was also nice to get some alone time with her. She's got such a personality. When we first got there, she stared at everyone and took it all in. She explored the playground and actually stayed in the circle during "circle time". She sat in the same chair during snack time that Jeremy sat in EVERY day. Creature of habit that one. I wonder if Amelia will do the same thing. Things went well until I left her on the playground alone! The teacher's aid said she cried on and off the whole time (30 minutes) but she was able to distract her a lot. That's a good thing because the other moms were probably thinking I am a bad mom for letting her cry. Once outside playtime was over, it was time for story time and art/crafts. She sat in my lap for part of the story but then decided that front and center would be better. Jeremy never left my lap at this age so it was surprising to have her jump up and walk towards the teacher! She enjoyed play dough during arts/crafts but she really like pushing all the chairs back under the table (just like J). Here are some pics of her on the playground during the 30 minutes that I was out there. Same toys as J...maybe that's what having an older brother does. She was ALL about the cars!

How Big is Amelia?
Amelia had her 15 month check up today and she is right on track. She weighs 22 lbs 12 oz and is 31 inches tall! She is in 50% for weight and she's grown a little, 65% in height. She was %50 at her 1 year check up. She got 3 shots, one of which was the flu shot, and a finger prick to check for anemia and lead. She was NOT a happy camper. When we first got into the room, she cried when the nurse weighed her. I was able to calm her down so when the doctor came in, I could actually have a conversation about what she's eating, talking, all the typical questions. When Dr. Fisher did the check up (listening to her heart, looking at her eyes, ears, mouth, etc) she had another mild heart attack. That is the second picture below :) Again, I had her calmed down and then the nurse came back for shots. She was beside herself and I couldn't help but laugh. I hope she forgets that I was laughing. After a good afternoon of playing, a big dinner and full dose of Tylenol, she is sound asleep and hopefully stays that way!
Before the nurse came to weigh her. One happy girl eating her Cheerios playing with my car keys!
After the doctor's exam!

Morning at the beach
Ryan and I took the kids to the beach this morning for a couple hours and we had lots of fun! Ryan made a track for J to drive his truck, Amelia played with water in the bucket and J laughed so hard when Ryan took him into the water. The waves were pretty big and they were crashing at their feet. Amelia wanted NOTHING to do with the water which surprised me since she loves baths and pools. Maybe it was the loud noise when the waves crashed. They both napped for almost 3 hours when we got home and then we had Oma and Opa over for a little BBQ. A good day and we're happy that we have another day off!

Last night in Salt Lake
We went to a restaurant in Park City with outdoor dining! There is a huge open space, grass and rocks for the kids to play on. A band played some good music and we actually got to eat kind of warm food.
Georgia is up on the rock, Teddy (in blue) is on the middle rock and Jett is trying to get up. Amelia is in pink and J is the one in red!
We're back home tomorrow and soon school will start, schedules and all sorts of doctors appts! Can't believe it's September already!

Water at Gateway
Court and I took Cece and Jeremy to an outdoor mall to do a little shopping (yeah right with two 3 year olds) and pick up dinner. There is a little place where water comes out of the ground and every hour they have a water show to music. Kind of like Vegas! Anyway, here is a picture of them enjoying the show!

Car Ride
Don't mind how terrible I look but here is the chaotic car ride home from the park. Don't worry Nicole and Jen, it was only a couple blocks away. You can't see Jess and Court in the front. From left to right...Piper, Jett, Me, Jeremy peeking out from behind, Amelia, Cece (you can't see her face and Teddy. A trip to the park, 2 poop diapers (that was nothing), 1000 swing pushes, one pee in the grass and we're tired and we're ALL napping!
Jeremy and Amelia's new game!
She's a crazy one. So is he I guess! Jeremy's 405 pileup
in the driveway. Maybe he'll be a CHP!
