Happy Easter 2010

Mabel's 1st Easter

We started off the day with breakfast and an easter hug at Louise's house. Louise had to read to all the kids to keep them in the house while the dads hid the eggs.

We then headed up to Oma and Opa's house for more candy, egg hunts, bubble time, water balloons, cousins and more cousins!

Found these old pictures of my playing days. The first one is of Jacqui and me with the Founder's Cup Trophy (world champions baby). We look like umpa lumpas because we had jerseys on underneath the shirts. The rest are some action shots of me. The video is of Jbird at his first ever soccer practice (at the YMCA so it's not REAL soccer. that will come in the fall when he starts AYSO). Amelia made a cameo.

Corn on the cob

We had the most beautiful day here so we decided to BBQ hotdogs and corn on the cob. The kids love corn on the cob and as you can see here, they like to be silly when they're through.

Wildthings

Mommy went out to dinner with some very old friends last night. From the left:Vanessa, Mom, Kimmy and Kim"berly"! We played soccer together when we were 14-18. We had a great time at dinner catching up on the last 10+ years. We all live locally now so we will be seeing a lot more of each other :)

Round-a-bout

Mabel enjoyed her first time in the round-a-bout today and so did her brother and sister. I knew she wouldn't be left alone but they helped her figure out the toys. Jeremy was showing her how to spin things and telling her what each thing did. It was pretty cute.

Johnny's Preschool Easter Egg Hunt

Jeremy's school had their annual Easter Egg Hunt today and the kids had a blast! Amelia kept stopping to open her eggs. The competitive mother in me would tell her, "keep going. Get more eggs"! Jeremy was a veteran collecting a ton of eggs. He even helped Amelia find a couple.

They made bunny ears to wear as they collected eggs!

Look who is an honorary member of the class today! They made Amelia a hat and basket too!

Amelia joined right in and sat like a big girl on the rug! She's on the far right.

Moving on to the next egg in a hurry!

ps...Amelia wanted to eat the candy so badly that she tried to eat the chocolate through the tinfoil wrapper and swallowed it. She was gagging, crying and choking all at the same time. Ryan was holding her....note to self; Ryan doesn't deal well with emergency situations. As she was gagging he held her over her car seat in the car and called for me ;) Just what I needed...chocolate throw up in my car. She powered through the pain and ate her candy.

Once upon a time....

We (and others) thought these two happy girls looked alike! My, how they've gone their separate ways. BUT...these two are long lost twins because they seem to do everything at the same time. Literally, Jacqui called me to tell me that Benny started smiling. Mabel did the same day as well. If Mabel is up at 5 am...so is Benny. We've been comparing lately and it's scary :) These girls will be like sisters that's for sure!

Daily Game

When the mail gets delivered, Jeremy and Amelia get to open the junk mail. It usually turns into a game of tear the envelopes into a million pieces and throw them/clean them up 100 times. They love it. Today they chose the playroom as their room of mail sorting! Oh yeah, they were dressed cute and cooperating so I took some pics!

Jeremy's "best friend" Luke came over to play today after school. They play SO well together! Anyway, Amelia always says "luuuke" and just stares at him. I asked them to sit on the couch together and I told Luke to give Amelia a kiss. Well, he gave her about 10 and when he got off the couch, Amelia said "again"! Too cute! These two would have BEAUTIFUL kids!
