Maui, Day 2

Another day in paradise! We went to the most delicious BBQ at the groom's mom's house las night and it was unreal. We had seared tuna and marlin which they caught the day before. Homemade pesto pasta, cheesecake, blueberry pie....SO GOOD! We woke up this morning, went the the gym and made our way to Black Rock to hang out on the beach and snorkle. The ocean is so blue here and the flowers smell overwhelms you everywhere you go. We have a luau tonight so I'm sure we will have some good pics. Here are some pics from last night and today!

Maui, Hawaii Day 1

I am writing this blog from our hotel room, sitting in a nice bath robe, drinking a coffee after a nice LONG hot shower. Can't remember the last time I took a long shower. Anyway, we're having a blast so far. We got in yesterday afternoon and quickly settled in to the island lifestyle. We had a late lunch, pina coladas and finally made our way back to our room. It was all great until we realized that I grabbed the wrong bag at the airport and Ryan was without all his clothes! Oops. So we drove back to airport, got the right bag and headed back to the hotel. Did I say oops yet?!?! :) When we got back, we met up with some friends for drinks and watched the sunset. It was amazing! We went with our friends Mike and Christy to dinner and called it a night. We spent today by the pool, drinking and relaxing with our friends, including the bride and groom! We have a Hawaiin BBQ tonight at the groom's mom's house which should be fun since he grew up here and there will be plenty of locals. 1st Bath Together

They LOVED it!!!!!! Nothing like killing 2 birds with 1 stone :) She has a surprised look on her face because she got a big zerbert on her belly from her brother. He was super sweet and gentle the whole time!

Daily Routine

It could melt your heart. Watch Jeremy's morning routine of greeting his sister. If you can't hear it, he says, "hi angel" in his highest voice possible! Too cute!!!!

August 10, 2008 - Jeremy says to me, "momma, I have to pee on the potty". I jumped up and ran him to the toilet, ripped off his diaper and sat him on the toilet. Not sure what to do about the standing thing because it doesn't reach the toilet yet. So sitting it is for the moment. He sat there for a minute and then said, "I'm all done". NOTHING! Ugh! I wasn't going to attempt potty training yet but since he brought it up, why not right? He did this to me the rest of the week and every time, I dropped EVERYTHING and ran him to the toilet. NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING! Then, August 18, 2008....HE DID IT! I thought it was another false alarm but he actually went pee! It was as if he had won a gold medal! He got 2 M&M's and has done it 4 more times. He even went in a public bathroom today and then when we got home. Now, if I could only get him to poop! Here is a picture with my phone camera since I was caught off guard!

Mommy is working out again!!!!

Finally....I went on a hard hike today with my dad and Ryan. My dad's finger is in the way but you get the idea! The second one is of Ryan on a rock with a very high drop off behind it! Yikes.

Firehouse Pancake Breakfast

The local fire station hosted a pancake breakfast today. The kids could get in the fire engines, ride an old fire truck, moonbounce and eat! The whole family went and Jeremy had a lot of fun. I think mommy had more fun looking at all the firemen :) Oh yeah, Amelia rode on her first fire truck too.

Back in the hospital...

Long story but she caught another virus and spiked a high fever. We went in Monday evening and we just got out today...a long week away from Jbird and Ryan.

Concert in the Park

We went to Polliwog Park in Manhatten Beach for a live concert. We packed a picnic, hung out with friends, listened to live country music and danced. Jeremy loved it! Next week is a Neil Diamond band so we might go back!
