4 Week Check Up

Amelia went to the doctor today and she weighed in at 8 lbs 15 oz. Jeremy did not like her crying so hard so he tried to make her feel better. Sweet boy!

Amelia's 1st Hospital Visit

Amelia was just not herself on Tuesday morning and then from 6 am on, screamed bloody murder. I had school with Jeremy so Ryan took Amelia to the doctor and they sent us to the ER. Babies her age can't fight infection and because she had a fever, it was obvious her body was fighting something. Anyway, after a day in the ER where the poor little thing was poked and poked again, her white blood cell count came back high which meant she had an infection of some sort. Her and I were admitted Tuesday evening and just got released today. She was on IV antibiotics for 48 hours and all tests came back negative. Here she is getting antibiotic treatment on day #1! I will remind her of this scare often!

Firestone Picnic 2008

We celebrated Father's Day a day early and headed up to Santa Barbara for the annual Firestone picnic with Oma, Opa and Auntie Jacqui. For those of you that don't know...that's where Ryan and I got married! We ate a lot of good food, drank yummy wine and watched Jeremy throw rocks, eat watermelon and fly his first kite. I think we all had a great day!

Cousin Jett...

is here to visit with his mom Auntie Jacqui! We've had bath time, play time and lots of hanging out time together!!!! I think I've been a good cousin and even better big brother. My sister is 2 weeks old now and she sleeps a lot and eats even more. She has been treating my mom well..only getting up a couple times a night and some nights just once! I think she's pretty cute but I may be bias! You can't tell in this picture but she has blue eyes! Here are some pics!

Here I am 24 hours old! I am eating, pooping and sleeping well. My mom is uncomfortable but she said I was worth it.

Amelia has arrived!

Yesterday afternoon at 3:08pm. Jeremy came this morning to meet his sister and we can tell he already loves her a lot! Anyway, kind of drugged up to write anymore so here are some pictures!

Family/Westchester Outing to the Zoo

Last fun day trip before we have 2 to pack up! Jeremy loved it!!!! He was very concerned with all the poop and told his mom to pick it up. I guess he's watched me do that way too many times.

Make-shift Nursery for #2

A full size nursery is for 1st borns! A corner of a room is for 2nd borns! I wonder how much space we will have for our 3rd!!!! I think it's a cozy little space to start a life...everything you need in one small area. This is where he/she will sleep until our 3rd bedroom is ready. Only 5 days to go until Baby Meinhardt #2 makes its debut! Looking forward to it. I had my last appt today and he/she was chewing on it's hand, strong heartbeat and moving a lot. I'm sure our next entry will be once we're parents of 2!

The Meinhardt Boys

Big Jeremy and Beck came to visit for Ryan's graduation and the boys are already having lots of fun. Grandmommy gets in today so it will be nice to have another woman around. Way too much boy stuff going on here. This is a video of what they were doing last night...Ryan and big J thought it would be a fun game to see if they could lay on their backs and get plastic balls stuck on the window blinds! Boys!

He loves to clean..must get that from his mom ;) What a classic 2 year old...happy one minute and pissed off the next. At least I can't hear him cry when the vacuum is running!

Sea World

I absolutely loved it! I wasn't sure about getting splashed at the Dolphin show or where the whales at the Shamu went after they jumped but I had tons of fun. I got to stay in a hotel with my mom and dad and feed the fish in the lobby. My favorite new toys: my dolphin and sea turtle.

I'm 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here I am when my mom and dad woke me up on my birthday. You would think they would let me sleep as long as I wanted but dad had to leave for work. I'm happy it was Monday because "trash truck hunting" is my favorite thing to do with my mom. I had some of my friends over for a swim date and I opened the last of my birthday presents.

I went to the doctor today and I am getting big! I am 31.6 lbs and 35 1/4 inches tall. I am 90% in weight and 75% in height. Quite a big boy if you ask me. I got 2 shots and didn't cry a bit. Not only am I big but brave too. I am heading to Sea World this weekend with my mom and dad so I am sure I will have stories and pictures galore.

Aunt Dedie and Uncle Dick

Weekend Time with Dad

I love having my dad home from work...we have so much fun. We watched Sesame Street in my chair and I made him a human parking garage for all my cars. He's the best!!!!

Sunny Day

I played outside ALL day! Here I am with my dad watching the sun set, sharing a piece of firewood with and I had the last drops of a margarita. I drove while I drank but I was way under the legal alcohol limit so it was okay. It was yummy. Mommy is never in the pictures because she takes them! Poor mom!

New Garage Door

He just wanted to watch the WHOLE thing happen! The playroom is almost the way we want it. Just need some storage for garage items and then we will load in the toys. Just waiting for the cabinets now that we have the new door!
