Rice Krispy Treats
THANK GOD!
He's finally peeing standing up! There was nothing more annoying then having to take off shoes, socks, shorts and underwear JUST to pee (especially in public restrooms...ugh). He had to sit so far back on the toilet to point downwards that all those clothes and shoes didn't allow him to spread 'em. Anyway, we're moving in the right direction!!!! :) Sorry for the details but I am one happy mom!

The Family Reunion (Family Tree or Family Forest)
We went to the Reinkemeyer Family Reunion today and it's a little crazy! There are 188 family members (according to Uncle Dick's count of the family tree)! Ryan and I tried to explain to Jeremy that everyone here was a cousin or aunt or uncle. I think it will take him a few years to get it but we sure get it. Here is a video of the family tree that Ryan put together (megan did the artwork part) and it's HUGE. Mary said we should call it the Family Forest. Ryan spent over 40 hours collecting pictures and information and even though it was too much money to print it in color ($500), it looked really cool. Every sibling (Mary and all siblings) had a designated color which we outlined with markers on the banner and anyone related to them, had a name tag with that corresponding color. On the tag, it said who you belonged to...my tag read, "Mary's Family: Skylar Meinhardt". It was nice to know who belonged to who and pictures on the Family Tree to go with names. I know it helped me remember names! We enjoyed lots of yummy food and the kids had a great time playing inside and in the heat outside. I don't think I've ever seen Jeremy's face so red. The video also shows you just how many people there were!

Jefferson City Capitol
Excited in the Capitol!
The Capitol has a museum sort of feel with a history of the state and the people. We enjoy going every year because I can't read everything in one year so maybe after 5 years, I will have read it all! Here are the kids looking at a display with animals (not alive)! Amelia LOVES it because she thinks they're real!
